Electric Actuators

Series ELQ electric Actuators are powerful, quarter turn units with five sizes covering the torque range from 100Nm to 800Nm. They incorporate High Ratio Drive (HRD) gearing which provides a compact backlash free reduction gear ideally suited for both tight positional control and long trouble free ON / OFF operation.Universal power control allows direct connection to all the usual voltages.

The aluminium alloy housing contains the motor, gear reduction and the Electronic control unit (ECU) Electronic control enables precise control of the Actuators internal functions and a ready interface to a wide range of control options. Electronic torque control is included as a standard feature. Modular construction is used throughout and allows for a wide range of "kit" and "factory" options.

EL Series Actuators

EL actuators use worm and worm-wheel reduction gearing to provide tight positioning control and the self locking feature necessary for controlling larger valves, particularly butterfly types. The housing is of aluminium castings, it contains the drive motor and worm gear assembly, together with the anti-condensation heater and main terminal strip.

EL actuator take the full range of control options, it has mechanical end position stops and torque switches. Visual position indication is by a window in the top cover.A geared manual override is fitted as standard, it is engaged by means of a declutching lever. When the motor is energised the unit automatically returns to motor operation, thus ensuring operator safety. These actuators are available for ON / OFF and modulating applications.

Pneumatic Actuators

EL-O-Matic Pneumatic actuators are powerful and compact double rack and pinion units for use with ball, butterfly and plug valves and any device requiring accurate and dependable quarter turn rotary motion.

The use of high grade steel and aluminum components together with Elomatic's patended 3 point piston support provides a tough reliable unit for the automation of today's high performance industrial valves. Modern synthetic bearings ensure no metallic contact between moving components.Spring return actuators incorporate the multiple spring concept for maximum flexibility, they are also "field reverseable". Safety features include an anti-blow out spindle and a spring retaining system which ensures no spring tension on disassembly. A wide range of control options are available to cover each and every industrial application.

Valve Automation System

EL-O-Matic offers valve automation systems consisting of Butterfly, Ball, Plug and Damper valves with pneumatic or electric actuators for both on / off and modulating application. El-O-Matic executes thousands of systems yearly, tailor made for the specific application of the industry. Some of the applications are very fast operating systems, sequencing of valves, batching operation. We also supply systems for defense and nuclear power for their critical high and low temperature applications.

Manual Override

In case of failure of the actuator, due to interruptions of compressed air supply or otherwise during maintenance, the Manual Override assists in operating the actuator / process valve.

El-O-Matic MO series declutchable gear operators offer simple and reliable manual positioning of the valves, dampers and other quarter turn devices when overriding existing pneumatic or hydraulic rotary actuators. All El-O-Matic MO units combine rugged construction, light weight and modular design to provide the most efficient and cost effective solution to a full range of manual override requirements.

The self locking worm gear design means safe and easy operation, positive manual positioning and extremely long life. The MO can be adapted to any quarter turn actuator and may even be installed in the field on existing valves. Five Models cover torque upto 8000 Nm

Pneumatic Positioner

Positioners provides a means for pneumatic actuator to be positioned to any point between full open & full close position. Elomatic offers Posiflex make Pneumatic (F10), Elector-Pneumatic (F20). Apart from these El-O-Matic also supplies E/P, P/P & SMART Positioners of various Global manufactures on request.

Pneumatic Positioner F10:

The Posiflex-Pneumatic Positioner is a simple, single stage, displacement balance instrument suitable for either linear or rotary actuators.It provides step less positional control for a wide variety of pneumatic actuators. A single universal model can be used for both double acting and single acting applications.

Electro-Pneumatic Positioner F20:

The F20 is a universal Electro-Pneumatic Positioner, suitable for either linear or rotary actuators (single or double acting).The F20 Positioner operates on the principle of analog electronic comparison. An analog 4-20 mA input signal is used to obtain an accurate position of the actuator.

Limit Switches

El O Matic supplies switches for indicating the valve / actuator position. The switches are operated by two cams on an extension of the actuator drive shaft. All mechanical parts and the switches are contained within the enclosure. Both switches are independently adjustable throughout the operating stroke, but are normally set to indicate the open or close position. The terminals of the switches are pre-wired to a terminal block which is easily accessible when the top cover is removed. The switch box is mounted on top of the actuator with an accessory bracket.

Solenoid Valves

Pneumatic accessories which are required for a particular application will depend on pneumatic logic circuit selected. The commonly used pneumatic accessories are Air Filter Regulator Direction Control Valve, Non-Return Valve, Flow Control valve, Quick Exhaust Valve, Air Lock Valve, Equalising Valve, Quartzoid Bulb, Breather Block, Double Compression Gland, Pressure Booster, Volume Tank, Fire Safe Box, etc.
